For Engineering Students
Engineering is one of the most challenging fields of study and, in my opinion, should be among the most highly valued disciplines. For this reason, I will be sharing numerous PDFs and recommendations in this section to help engineering students improve themselves more easily. I hope it will be beneficial to you.
Let me emphasize that there is no engineering without mathematics and physics; therefore, you must love and understand the fundamentals of these subjects. You can find the best resources to learn the foundations of mathematics and physics by clicking on the "Advanced Physics" and "Advanced Mathematics" buttons. On these pages, you will find resources listed step by step, progressing to the most advanced levels.
Understanding the importance of software and being able to utilize it is essential for every engineer. Knowing how to code puts you 73 steps ahead of your competitors and makes it easier to contribute to engineering; it significantly enhances your problem-solving skills. You can access pages related to software by clicking on the "Programming" button.
Let’s explore the essential programs every engineering student will need to use at least once in their life and learn what these programs are used for:
a) Design Programs:
Every engineering student will need to use a design program at least once in their life, whether for a project they are involved in or an assignment given at school. However, if you aim to be a good engineer, mastering at least one design program will take you to much higher levels.
Let’s take a look at some design programs:
AutoCAD:
AutoCAD stands for "Auto Computer-Aided Design," a software primarily used for project-based work and widely used in preparing construction projects. Thanks to the commands available within AutoCAD, any project can be easily drawn. This program offers both 2D and 3D drawing options, though 2D is generally preferred. For 3D drawings, more comprehensive programs are typically used.
To draw professionally, it’s advisable to take a course on this program; however, you can also learn it on your own by experimenting with it after installation (for those who want to learn in-depth, I’ve included Udemy and YouTube links).
Those who do or wish to do technical drawing can further improve themselves by learning this program. Widely used by engineers and architects, AutoCAD is a highly preferred program globally. A new version is released every year with additional features.
AutoCAD is offered as paid software, but if you visit AutoCAD’s official website and upload some documents proving that you are a student, you can benefit from it for free.
